Bodegas José L. Ferrer, located at the entrance of the village Binissalem and founded in 1931, has grown over time, thus renewing its facilities with the main objective of improving their quality and facilitate the development of their wines, as well as increasing its processing capacity. The processing facility is divided into three areas:

  • The cellar of 1931. The winery, built since its foundation, is provided with cement tanks that are still used for the fermentation, making and storage of high quality wines, keeping the tradition with several new technologies that allow more controlled elaborations.
  • The cellar of 1995. The winery consists of a processing plant equipped with two stainless steel hoppers, 3 pneumatic presses, 14 stainless steel tanks with 35.000L of capacity, automatic temperature control for fermentation process, and 3 cooling tanks of 17.500L of capacity for making white wines. There are also two cellars with a capacity to hold 2.000 oak barrels and a bottle rack which will hold the aging in casks and bottles of high quality wines like “Crianza” and “Reserva”.
  • The cellar of 2016. The winery consists of a new processing plant equipped with 12 truncated cone fermentation tanks of about 12.200L and 10.600L, 6 Isothermal tanks of about 12.500L and 4 oak vats. There are 42 spin barrels (rotary casks) of 500L, a barrel designed specifically for fermenting wine.
    In this new area, called "Veritas", are mainly produced wines from Veritas and Ferreret ranges, wines whose grapes are selected by manual harvest in our oldest vineyards, and paying attention to the smallest details in order to maintain their high-quality.
